GDL’s powder coating system protects against harmful bacteria contamination, including MRSA germs, in air distribution, bacteria are in our environment constantly – in the air that we breathe and the surfaces that we touch. Although some bacteria are essential in promoting good health there are many others such as MRSA germs, that cause disease and infection.

As GDL Air Systems work within a broad range of industry sectors where hygiene is paramount such as healthcare, food hygiene, education, as well as the public and private sectors, it is necessary that we provide the most hygienic level of powder coating to our product finishes. We invested in a new state-of-the-art powder coating system and incorporated the Interpon AB coating which is proven to
reduce bacterial colonies, including MRSA, by 99.9%. The high uptake of specifying this product finish by the architects, contractors and consultants we work with highlights the increase in organisations monitoring their air hygiene to ensure it meets the Health & Safety at Work Regulations.
